Sanjay Vyas - Principal Dental Surgeon
Sanjay qualified from the University of Sheffield Dental School in 1991. He has worked in general dental practice ever since and is experienced in the fields of CEREC, general dentistry and cosmetic dentistry.
In 2009 he studied a year long course in dental implants and has been placing implants using the Straumann system ever since.
In his spare time Sanjay enjoys reading (especially about spirituality) practising yoga, playing tennis with his son and spending time with his family.
Rajesh Patel - Dental Surgeon
Raj Patel will be supporting Glenfield Dental by offering dental implant surgery, sedation for oral surgery and orthodontics (straightening of the misaligned teeth).
Raj qualified from Sheffield Dental School with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 1992. He then completed his vocational training in a private and NHS general dental practice.
Over the years Raj’s experience in general dentistry instigated his interest in full mouth restoration and reconstruction, leading him to later develop skills in orthodontics, dental occlusion (the way teeth meet when we bite), dental implant surgery and cosmetic dental surgery.
To advance his surgical skills, between 1997 and 1998 Raj worked in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department at Dundee Dental Hospital and gained his Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (FDSRCS) from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. This involved treating injuries in the head and neck region.
Raj has extensive experience in oral surgery and has, since 1998, also been providing dental treatment with sedation in hospital and general practice environments.
After leaving Dundee, Raj worked at a specialist orthodontic practice in Northampton to broaden his dental knowledge and gain experience in orthodontics. Raj also worked in a specialist orthodontic practice in Leicester and has accrued over 15 years of orthodontic experience using conventional fixed braces and cosmetic removable orthodontic appliances, functional appliances, lingual appliances and Invisalign (invisible braces).
Raj completed his implantology training in the UK, USA and Europe. He has also worked at Lavender Road Dental Practice (Leicester) which gave him the opportunity to work in their specialist implant centre. He has been placing dental implants since 2004 and gained experience in all aspects of dental surgery from simple placement to complex cases involving bone grafts, sinus lifts, ridge splits and full mouth implants.
Raj worked as a trainer at the Implant Education Centre in Leicester from 2009-2011. In 2012 he completed a course in Dental Mentoring with the FGDP and is now involved in training and mentoring fellow dentists in advanced dentistry with emphasis on dental implants. To date he has been involved in training over 22 dentists on a one-to-one basis and is currently a visiting trainer to 14 practices. In 2014 Raj became accredited as a mentor for the Cambridge Academy of Dental Implantology.
Raj’s continued focus on full mouth reconstruction and restoration means that patients interested in implant surgery can take comfort in the fact that a full array of options will be presented to them alongside implant surgery to gain the best possible results.
In his spare time Raj is also an avid reader with subject matters ranging from philosophy, science, biographies and religion to novels about crime, thrillers, science fiction and horror; Stephen King, Carl Sagan and Dan Brown to name a few of his favourite authors. He loves watching movies, has recently taken up playing golf and enjoys discovering new gastronomic experiences. He is partial to a 6 mile morning run before he starts work to keep himself fit and alerts. Raj is also a keen traveller and his latest sojourn was to central Serengeti to watch lions hunting game and temple trekking around Angkor in Cambodia.
Srinivas Arun - Dental Surgeon
Dr Srinivas Arun qualified in 2000 and received his BDS from the Rajiv Gandhi University, Bangalore. Subsequently, he was awarded MFDS by the Royal College of Surgeons of England (London) in 2005.
He is a very enthusiastic dentist with a special interest in preventative, cosmetic and implant dentistry.
Dr Arun has over a year’s experience working for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in India. In the UK he has 3 years experience at maxillofacial units based in Swansea and Devon.
Dr Arun has been providing the very popular 6 Month Smiles orthodontic cosmetic treatment for over 2 years and is currently on the Nobel Biocare Implantology training course based in Cambridge.
He supports the British Red Cross and has carried out voluntary work in a cleft lip and cleft palate unit in India.
Dr Arun is married and has a 4 year old son. He enjoys playing badminton and football on a regular basis and during summer his passion is cricket.
Dr Arun is looking forward to providing the best level of dental care, especially seeing nervous dental patients. He is keen to learn new techniques by attending postgraduate courses and wants to help you achieve optimal results to enhance your smile and confidence.
Jay Ganatra - Dental Surgeon
Jay qualified at King’s College London in 2011 and has since undertaken numerous postgraduate courses, including the Cosmetic and Aesthetic dentistry course by Christopher Orr.
He has advanced skills in veneers, crowns, bridgework and aesthetic tooth-coloured fillings.
Jay is especially interested in aesthetic, minimally invasive, serviceable treatment. The world of minimally invasive dentistry is enhanced by developments in CAD/CAM and 3D printing.
He is fortunate to have the facility of the latest Cerec AC Omnicam where he provides the popular all-ceramic, minimally invasive, impression free, one visit Cerec treatment to his patients.
Jay’s passion for minimally invasive dentistry has landed him in the field of orthodontics where he can straighten teeth without any drilling to the tooth at all. He is currently part of an orthodontic postgraduate programme under the guidance of Professor Sandler.
Jay is a friendly, conscientious dentist with a straightforward and down to earth attitude.
In his spare time Jay enjoys racquet sports, going to the gym and swimming.
Sangeeta Vora - Dental Surgeon
Since qualifying from Liverpool University (BDS in 1988) she has been working in general practice providing comprehensive dental care. She keeps up to date with current best practice and obtained Membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners (MFGDP) in 2004.
Sangeeta has also completed year long certified courses in Restorative Dentistry and Cosmetic Dentistry. She is also qualified to provide Invisalign. Patients of all ages enjoy coming to see her as the practice works a team to provide a friendly caring environment. Dentistry is carried out in a calm gentle manner.
Outside of dentistry Sangeeta is passionate about charity work and is an active committee member for the Leicester based charity Healing Little Hearts which raises money to send specialist medical teams to India to perform life saving heart operations on children and babies. In her spare time she spends time with her family, enjoys Bikram yoga, long country walks, aerobics and reading.
Carole Lip - Dental Hygienist
Carole has worked in general practice since qualifying from the University of Bristol in 1977.
Carole is passionate about helping patients attain optimum oral health. She also gives dietary and oral cleaning advice to expectant mothers and parents of young children.
As a member of the British Society for Dental Hygienists and Therapists, Carole regularly attends meeting and training courses in order to continue her professional development.
Beverly Bee - Dental Hygienist
Beverly gained her qualification in 1990 from the Liverpool School of Dental Hygiene, where she won the Oral B Examination Award. Since then she has worked in both NHS and private dental practices in Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire. She also spent several years working at the Orthodontic and Restorative Dental Department of Glenfield Hospital.
In her spare time, Beverly likes to work on her allotment and enjoys cycling and taking walks.
Abbi Craig - Dental Hygienist
Abbi graduated from the Defence Hygiene School, Aldershot, in 2012 and has since worked at a number of military establishments.
She was a serving member if the R.A.F. until 2016, completing a tour of the Falkland Islands.
Since leaving, Abbi is enjoying the challenge.
Her ethos to dental hygiene is to involve patients in decision making and give them ownership of their care.
Abbi has a relaxed and friendly approach in surgery and in her spare time enjoys gardening and garden design.
Jessica Gadher - Dental Hygienist & Therapist
Jess graduated in 2012 from the University of Birmingham with a BSc in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy. Since then she has worked throughout Leicester and Birmingham in both NHS and private practices. She is now trained to carry out cosmetic dental treatments such as teeth whitening and air polishing. She prides herself on making patients feel relaxed and calm in her care.
Jess has a keen interest in music and fashion, and enjoys socialising with her family and friends in her free time.
Jenica Warren - Dental Hygienist & Therapist
Jenica qualified from The Greater Manchester School for Dental Care Professionals in March 2017 with diplomas in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy, both awarded by the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Jenica is an evidence-based clinician who derives satisfaction from providing high quality, holistic patient care and dental treatment.
Currently, Jenica is working in both NHS and private dental practices across Leicestershire and Northamptonshire.
In her spare time Jenica enjoys outdoor activities such as skiing, mountaineering and wild running. To relax, Jenica loves to be in the company of her family and friends dining out.
Priti (Sem) Vyas - Practice Manager
Priti joined the practice in 2001 following a career break from her pharmacy role. As she comes from a corporate background, Priti enjoyed the challenge of being part of the development of the practice and looking after staff welfare in an administrative role. She loves interacting with both patients and staff.
Outside of work she looks after her two teenagers and enjoys shopping, swimming and cooking.
Sherrie - Senior Dental Nurse and Decontamination Lead
Sherrie joined the team in 2008 and qualified as a dental nurse two years later. Due to her fantastic abilities, she was fast tracked to the position of senior nurse before becoming lead for decontamination. Her role ranges from stock management to staff training.
In her spare time, Sherrie enjoys going to the gym and spending time with friends and family.
